I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
